Star of Hope Activity Center, Inc.

Assisting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Southwestern Oregon since 1964.

Our Mission

To provide community support services in Oregon to individuals with developmental disabilities in a manner which encourages independence, productivity, and physical integration

Dear Welcomed Friend,

Thank you for your interest in Star of Hope, a unique and cutting edge agency supporting individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities.

Star of Hope started in 1964 as a grass roots movement of parents who wanted to give their children the same opportunities as other children in their community and, over time, we evolved. Star of Hope now operates nine group homes, a Community Supports Program, Supported Employment Program, and Community Inclusion/Day Services program.

Our staff are highly trained, compassionate, and enthusiastic about the support they provide to our clients.  All of our programs are designed to provide an opportunity for individuals to become part of their communities in an integrated and inclusive way, and I am thankful for that.

I cherish and celebrate Star of Hope’s unique principles and values. Together we built a company and culture that is unlike any other and we are going to stay true to that—it is in our DNA. We are going to continue to make a difference in the lives of individuals we support.

All of the amazing support from the our Board of Directors, staff, Front Line Management, the Executive team, and our community has been inspiring. I am confident our best years lie ahead of us and that together we will continue to make Star of Hope the magical place that it is.

Please feel free to ask any questions you may have and again we appreciate and thank you for your interest in  Star of Hope.
