Star of Hope residential programs provide opportunity for both individual and group training in a variety of skill areas and in a supportive comfortable home setting. Star of Hope is a private non-profit corporation started by a group of parents, neighbors, and family members looking for supports for their children with developmental disabilities in 1965. Star of Hope expanded to add residential services in 1981 to provide residential, vocational and community supports to persons with mental retardation and developmental disabilities in a manner that promotes dignity, self-respect and autonomy.
