All of our items are hand-made through the dedicated work of individuals enrolled in our programs. No two are the same.
Individuals enrolled in Star of Hope programs may also learn how to create rugs using a variety of materials on our looms.
It takes commitment to learn the skill of hand-weaving rugs. Many of the people in Star of Hope programs have developed this skill and created their own weaving career or business.
Our hand-woven rugs are made of recycled and donated materials such as: denim, cotton, chenille and even plastic shopping bags. The items made from used shopping bags are great for outside use and can be rinsed or hosed off to clean. Items constructed out of other materials can be cleaned in the washer or dryer.
In addition to rugs, custom sizes can be made upon request, and we can take orders for items such as placemats.
