What is the Acktion Club?

The Acktion Club is a group composed of adult citizens who live with disabilities. The Bay Area Kiwanis Club is composed of leading business and professional people of the community, and Star of Hope serves as the Acktion Club sponsors.  The Star of Hope provides an agency staff coordinator to attend functions and advise Kiwanis members.

Partnering with community members is what it is all about. Acktion Club participated in presenting a Thanksgiving event with the Hollywood Dreams club and the Holy
Redeemer Catholic Church. Everyone pitched in to give the opportunity for over one hundred individuals to share on this traditional Holiday of giving Thanks.

After winding up the Lund Park Project this year the Bay Area Kiwanis Club and the Acktion Club Joined Hands with several other community members to clean up the Marshfield Cemetery. Special thanks to Ted J., Cathy C., Cheryl M. and David  S. for their help with this project.
